Barbara Scheurwater

Paralegal

Barbara is decisive, committed and creative. She articulates her vision clearly and with sound reasoning. She holds a Master’s degree in Private Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property Law, Innovation and Technology from Utrecht University (cum laude). During her studies, Barbara volunteered at de Wetswinkel – a legal advice centre - in Utrecht. Until recently, she lectured on Intellectual Property at Utrecht University.

Barbara wrote her Master’s thesis in IP Law on the cumulation of copyright and trade mark law in the protection of design. For this thesis, she received the BIE Thesis Prize in 2024 and the Marques Lewis Gaze Memorial Scholarship Award in 2025.
